Denver Family & Newborn Photographer

Photographed on real 35mm film. Documentary in spirit. Cinematic in tone.

Brody Amor is a Denver-based family and newborn photographer working primarily on film, offering in-home and lifestyle sessions throughout the Denver area. With a calm, documentary approach, each session is photographed intentionally - creating images with depth, texture, and emotional honesty.

If traditional photo sessions have never felt like you, you’re not alone.

Maybe the problem was never you.

Maybe the sessions were too rigid.
Too loud.
Too narrow.

There wasn’t space for how you actually move, think, or feel.

So you learned how to get through it.
You told yourself this was just how photos work.

Film slows the process down.
It asks for intention.
Each frame is considered.

The grain, depth, and softness create images that feel cinematic but grounded — less about perfection, more about presence.

Why film?

Most sessions take place in your home or meaningful spaces throughout the Denver area. Photographing families in familiar environments allows moments to unfold naturally - without forced posing or pressure.

In-home family & newborn photo sessions

There’s no expectation to pose perfectly or perform for the lens.

I photograph with care and attention, making space for you to arrive as yourself - layered, imperfect, real.

This is a place where your humanity is enough.

A calm, consent-based photo experience — centered on authentic joy

In their words

-Bayr

"We didn’t clean up or try to present a perfect version of ourselves - it was just real life. I felt completely at ease, and I trusted Brody to see the beauty in it. The photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined and they mean so much to me."

More about brody

I know what it feels like to be misrepresented — or not fully seen — in photos.

That awareness shapes how I work.

I guide with care and curiosity.
I prioritize consent, intuition, and real connection.

This isn’t about looking perfect.
It’s about feeling steady, seen, and at home in yourself.

Hey, I'm Brody
(they/them)

meet the photographer

a queer, non-binary photographer based in Denver

I welcome people of all identities, expressions, and backgrounds — especially those who haven’t always felt comfortable in front of a camera.

We go at your pace.
We create together.
And you walk away with images that feel like home.
P.S. it will be fun!

get in touch

The world doesn’t always make space for people to show up fully as themselves.
Your story still deserves to be told.

Whether you’re documenting family life, welcoming a newborn, or marking a meaningful season, I photograph with kindness, compassion, and intention.

Are you ready to step into film images that feel true?

faqs

Do you photograph weddings?

Absolutley. My favorite kind of wedding is a mellow, backyard or chill elopement style wedding, but I am open to many different kind of calm love ceremonies/events. Feel free to reach out via the contact form to see if I may be a good fit for your big day!

What happens after i fill out the booking form?

Each of these buttons will walk you through purchasing your session. You will receive a confirmation email from me after booking and throughout our journey together. Have questions before booking? Reach out!

I’m neurodivergent. Can sessions be adapted for that?

Yes. Neurodivergence is fully welcome here.
We can talk ahead of time about pacing, sensory needs, communication preferences, and what helps you feel most at ease. Sessions can be structured, flexible, quiet, or brief depending on what supports you best.

What should I wear?

Wear what helps you feel most like yourself.
Comfort and ease matter more than any specific look. Clothes you’ve felt good in before, simple layers, and easy movement tend to work well.

You don’t owe the camera a certain style.
If you’d like, you’re welcome to bring several  options and we can decide together. This is another perk of at-home sessions- you have everything you need in your closet!

why does this feel vulnerable?

Being photographed can feel vulnerable — our brains are wired to scan for safety when we’re seen. We’ll move with care, check in often, and adjust the approach as needed.

You’re never expected to push through discomfort. My job is to encourage and reassure you that you are welcome to be yourself here - side notethis is the part I love the most because it can be so healing.

Can I bring a partner, friend, or support person to my portrait session?

Yes.
You’re welcome to bring someone who helps you feel more at ease. They can be present throughout the session or step in and out as needed — whatever feels most supportive to you.

Are all images really included?

Totally.
You’ll receive your online photo gallery of your film images that is thoughtfully edited and complete. There are no selections, upsells, or additional purchases. Your images are yours to keep.

Do you share images publicly?

Only with your permission.
Nothing is ever posted without a clear yes. If you’re open to it, I may reach out after you’ve seen your gallery to ask about sharing a few images — often to help other folks see themselves reflected and feel welcomed here. It’s always optional.
